Who are we?
About I Learn

I Learn is a non-profit organization that employs a community-based approach to empower youth and children in disenfranchised communities. Through informal education, youth volunteerism, and partnerships we seek to establish safe spaces in rural areas of Jordan that encourage innovation, intellectual growth, and critical thinking.

Why I Learn?

A glance at our vision

We believe at I Learn that the root cause of those challenges that our children and youth are facing stem from a discouraging education system, violence and discrimination, lack of role models and a widening gap between the generations. Children have few safe outlets for social or recreational activities, and limited means to express themselves.

Testimonials

What people say about us
  • At I Learn, not only do the children get to explore their talent through art, but they also learn practical life skills. For instance, they learn to listen to each other. In Jordan, people often talk to each other without listening – they just wait for their turn to talk.

    Nadia Mahmood Ismail,
Head of Community, Khirbet Alsouq Charity for Women
  • Our experience with I Learn was very meaningful for those young people and made them realize they are capable of doing anything and they were very committed toward children and the program.

Programmes Coordinator, Yarmouk Club – Baqa’a
